Black Struggle Film Productions:  Meta-synthesis of Black Struggle Film Production and Critique Since the Millennium is a journal article published in the 2019 The International Academic Forum Journal of Media, Communication & Film. I wrote this article to discover rates and trends in Black American filmmaking production and criticism, particularly in the seemingly prevalent rate of historical and crime-centered Black produced and cast wide release films on Black proportional to the total amount of Black produced and cast wide release films. It is a good representation of my LEISURE ENTERTAINMENT RESEARCH & COMMENTARY. I performed the following tasks:

• Literature review on the history of Black American cinema

• Contextualizing “Black Struggle” films

• Data search identifying Black wide release films

• Analyzing film data

• Identify critique of selected Black Struggle film

• Qualitative thematic analysis
