Computing resilient identity development and maintenance of Black Americans who earned a PhD in computing (published in the Proceedings of the 2019 Frontiers in Education Conference in Cincinnati, OH) and An exploratory investigation of the resilient identity development of Black American doctoral computing students and candidates in computing programs (currently unpublished) examined how resilience and identity developed in the lives of PhD students in computing programs and Black professionals who earned a PhD.
